A few words speak louder than a thousand pictures: For Christians worldwide, the Bible is the word of the living God. Therefore, this word speaks louder than all the pictures in the world could. Yet, pictures are very important to us. They bring us closer to our experiences by awakening memories. Did a painter always have a specific idea in mind when creating their painting, or were they simply happy to capture the atmosphere, or perhaps both? This is precisely what prompts us to reflect on a picture. The living God created the world so that his word can be recognized in the image of nature—in fauna and flora, but also in humankind and its buildings. He calls to us to explore him, to believe in him, and to trust in him, so that fears disappear and hope and love spread.
